What does a dropshipping agent do?
A dropshipping agent is a partner in China that handles the supply side of your store: finding the factory, negotiating the unit price, inspecting quality, holding stock, and shipping each order directly to your customer. You keep running your storefront and marketing; the agent makes sure the product side keeps up.
How is a private agent different from a platform like CJdropshipping or Zendrop?
Platforms are stronger if you want to browse a ready-made catalog and ship from US warehouses. A private agent wins once you have a proven product: we quote from the factory for your exact spec, so unit costs are usually lower, packaging can carry your brand, and the same QC standard applies to every batch. Most sellers move to an agent when a product passes roughly 10–20 orders a day.
Who handles tariffs and customs?
We do. Every shipment leaves DDP: we assign the HTS classification, file the customs entry, and pre-pay Section 301 duties plus the 15% Section 122 surcharge, so nothing surprises your customer at the door. See how the math works in our guides to calculating landed cost under Section 301 and Section 122 and DDP versus DDU shipping.
What does it cost?
Sourcing quotes are free at any volume. Your per-unit price covers the product, QC inspection, packaging, shipping, and duties — one number, no separate fees. Average US delivery is 8 days.
