There are a lot of important activities you need to do step by step to start a profitable dropshipping business. These include finding products from good suppliers or a sourcing agent, creating your store, creating your ad copy, video, and so on. And we are walking you through all this process. So, let’s get started!
Create a killer business Facebook Page for your brand
First, we will go through how to create a professional business Facebook Page. If you are using Facebook, it will be super easy to create your business Facebook Page as well. Just go to Pages and click Create a Page. Choose Business or Brand and click Get started. Then in Page Name box, type in your brand. And in the category, you can put whatever you want here.
Next, you need to add your profile picture. So you upload your logo in there. It should always the logo to make your store look really professional. If people see your logo on your business Facebook Page, in your ad video and on your website as well, it’s going to be much more trustworthy.
Same for the cover photo, use the same background photo that you use on your website. That is all you have to do to create a killer business Facebook Page page for your store. Just make sure your logo, your cover picture on your page and your website are the same. And it’s already good to make money.
How to run the Testing Strategy
After you have created a professional business Facebook Page for your brand, now it’s time to look at the testing strategy. The one we are going to share with you now is proved to be much effective. First of all, at the Ads Manager, you go to the Conversions. Whether or not you have created an ad on your business Facebook Page before, we always recommend you start with the conversions first.
In the Campaign Name, you can put in your product name. Choose Purchase for the Conversion Event.
Then, you move to Location and make sure to add the epacket countries here. There’s one tip to do it quickly. That is you can search epacket countries on the internet and copy the whole list into the box and then click Match Locations. And then you choose the Age range, Gender and Language. In the Detailed Targeting, do not check “Expand interests when it may increase conversions at a lower cost per conversion”.
Next, you go to Edit Placements. Choose mobile only. Because if you leave desktops on, there will be a lot more traffic but much fewer sales. As you can see below, just uncheck all but Facebook feed and Instagram feed.
In Budget and Schedule, you could set a Daily budget of 5 dollars. We recommend you start with a low budget first. And in the Conversion Window, choose 7 days click or 1 day view. Then jump to the Media part, you just upload the ad video that you have created into the Ad. Next step, you insert the Ad Copy that you also have created some days ago into the Ad and add some emojis if you like to make it more lively.
In Call to Action, we highly recommend you choose Shop Now. Since it’s very direct telling people to make a purchase right away. And it will appear as a button leading to your page.
And that is all. Finally, you hit Confirm. And that’s the foundation for your testing strategy. In fact, what you will do is setting up 10 different ads with different interests to find what interest is the target. Let all your ads run for 48 hours. But if after 24 hours, you notice any of them have a cost per click above 1 dollar, just kill it. Because most winning products will have around 40 – 60 cent cost per click.
And if it happens to your whole campaign, not a particular ad. If all ads in your campaign have over 1 dollar cost per click after 24 hours, just turn it off. That means your ad is not attractive enough to make people click through. It’s never going to happen when your winning product has over 1 dollar cost per click. So, we want to emphasize it again because it’s very important. Turn your ads or your campaign off if you see any of them has over 1 dollar cost per click after 24 hours.
If your ads do not work, you have to turn them off and work on the reasons why they are not compelling enough. It is because your video is too slow, or your text is not good, your picture is not good enough. Then you can create a new one. Or you could move on to another product. But if you are confident that your product is not the problem. You have done researches. The number and statistics tell it’s winning product. And that’s the product you are sure you can market with emotions. It’s the ad that matters. Then we would recommend you should focus on launching another ad.
Creating your ads again until it works out will help you to improve your skills as well. Make it faster, more compelling, more compulsive to get a much lower cost per click. And in case you already get a low cost per click, just let the ads run for full 48 hours. All profitable products will be profitable on day 1 or at least day 2.
So, that’s all we want to share with you how to create a professional business Facebook Page and run your testing strategy. Your business Facebook Page and testing strategy are the two important tasks when you run your business. Hope this will help in starting your dropshipping business and improving your campaign in the long run.
